TaFoochów, Aug. 30, Mr. Otto Heinsohn, a German employed since March as a toa man in the American firm of Brewster and Company, who was arrested without a warrant under- the orders of the Fukien Tupao- was released on parole où August 24 pending a settlement of the case,Reator
It will be remembered that Heinsohn was arrested and taken through the streets in shackles to be later thrown into military prison. It is believed that the: cause of his arrest was that he' was once in the employ of Wil helm Pfeng, who loft Foochow last September after receiving from the Tapan-a-considerable aum for the purchant of armé and munitions which Pfeng was un- able to deliver owing to the re- fusal of the German Government. to permit export without a porinit from the Central Government which the Tupan could not obtain.
