The vessel was on her way form Japan to Amoy at the time. Mr. Ramsay had been in good health, but on that morning felt ill and consulted the ship's doctor, who -prescribed for him. He seemed better, but during the day was found dead in a chair, heart fallure being the cause." He was buried the same day at sea.
Mr. Ramsay was a very popular officer, and his sudden end came as a shock to the whole ship's com- pany. He was well-known in the Far East, having been in this part
