Soon after mid-night his wife called him and said she had been sworn at by Durand and that ho had kicked her. He ran upstairs him after Durand knocked through a window, with a chair and then went out and asked the Police to arrest both himself and Durand.

Lost His Reason.

Witness was cross-examined and admitted that with the worry and trouble he lost his reason that night but he did not think that in attacking. Durand he had acted un- reasonably.

Mrs. Taylor was called and cor- roborated her husband that Dur. and had promised them their ex- penses.
