Above is Professor Max. Langs- nor, thenated delegachist who last wirkt gave an impressive de- meistration at the Theatre Royal.

· PROFESSOR'S FEATS.
"KARA IKI'S" ASTOUNDING PERFORMANCE.
Those who attended the defiggin- stration of telepathy, hypnotism and auto-suggestion by Prof. Max. Langener ("Kara ki at the Theatre Royal, last night were more than rewarded for any incon- venience suffered due to the hot- night, or, in the case of Peak resi dents, dificulty in reaching the theatge, by the astounding experi ments performed.
WIN
Every available seat was nees- pied downstairs, and there quite a good gathering in the cir cle when the Professor began by explaining bicily, the meaning of limited knowledge of the English telepathy, though his rather
Janguard made it dificult for the nudience to fallow him in all his points. The demonstrations, low- ever, were most convincing and certainly calculated to dumbfound sceptics. Five members of the audience wert given "paper and envelopes and requested to write the name of nu acquaintance pre- sent in the building. After being seak, the Professor proceeded to lead the person who had written the
the acquaintance name to whose name
had been written down. I four cases the demon-) stration was completely successful, but the fifth apparently presented dificulties. The gentleman con- cerned may have been a sceptic, but later on in the evening he was specially selected on this account. and without muscular contact, was influenced to lend Professor Langsner to a gentleman in whose cont a pia bar! been secreted.
One of the most interesting ex- periments was a "mock murder" in which a committes, presided over by Sir Robert Ho Tungi selected the murderer, and con- cealed the victim, the weapon with which the "crime" was committed as well as the plunder. During the arranging of this test,, ProfesĮ sor Langsner gave himself in charge of another committee who took him outside the Theatre plot" was completed. Upon be where he remained while the ing ammoned back again, the Professor formed telepathie gom menication" which was achieved by Sir Robert grasping his wrist, and quickly proceeded to solve the problem, discovering the "nutr derer," who had taken his scat again in the audience; the victim, who had been hidden behind the stage; the weapon, and the pre- ceeds of the robbery, which had been placed in the packet of one of the committee.
The latter part of the pro- gramme was devoted to hypnotism and auto-suggestion. Upon being Invited on to the stage, about; a dozen persons afflicted with stum- mering responded, and it was the experiments which followed which made the most profound impres- sion upon the audience. The sub- jects, were selected, and, within a few seconds were completely' sub- jected to the Professor's hypnotic spell. Theh, to the amazement of spectators, each subject was made to carry on a perfectly normal con- versation in which all hesitancy of speech disapponred. When awakened from the spells, a cure certainly appeared to have been effected, although it remains to be seen whether the recovery will be permanent.
No matter how sceptical people may have been, such an art as that demonstrated is quite beyond the explanation of the "man in the, street," and the fact that many In spite of the fact that Turn- Peuk residents, forgot that the last bull made 57 for Glamorgan, tram left at midnight, fa sufficient White, the Somerset bowler, hadtribute to the Professor's power the good average, of six wickets to provide a most bewildering and for 44 runs,Reuter.

Lovers of doga will find plenty to delight them, and stir their emotions, when they have seen the gripping film which was shown at the Queen's Theatre for the first time yesterday, entitled "Wild Justice," and in which the wunder dog. Peter the Great, may.be sald to be a central figure. The scenes are laid in the frozen north, and the atory is a most attructive one. Ist spite of the tense and dramatic scenes which cccur between the principal parties, interest renily centres on Peter the Great, whose sagacity is a revelation in the wet- ing of animals, and this dog un doubtedly "makes the picture. There are plenty of thrilling scenes, and delightful touches of humour, provided by the dog, and 'these' make the picture most acceptable.
Included in the programme are contributions by Sam Ku, jünr., the "Kriesler" of the steel guitar, ne- companied by David Kina, a noted Havaalan baritone, and last night vi they were loudly applauded. The more recent popular songs are ren- dered in good style.
There is also showing a particu- larly funny cartoon, "The Spider and the Fly," also a topical flm in- cluding news from Home, the ar rival of the Japanese traiping squadron in Hongkong, and excel lent scenes of the local flood.
The next change, from Thursday to Saturday, will be "Potash ard Porlmutter In Holly wood," which is the latest Samuel Goldwyn comedy and should draw big houses..
