CAFE PARISIEN CASE.
FINED AND BOUND OVER..

The Cafe Parision cas econclud ed at the Central Magistracy yea terday, Mr. Taylor being fined $5 for, disorderly conduct, and Mr. Durand fined $50 for kicking Mrs. Taylor and a further $60 for striking the police. Both defen- danta were bound over to keep the. peace for twelve months, in 2 personal bond of $100. The other summons against Mr. Durand was diemlased.
During the hearing of the caseIfe yesterday, Mr. Lindsell Intimated that another party had issued summonses against a co-partner. in the cafe.
Mr. Hugh Jones put further questions to Mr. Durand, who said there were six people at the dinner, and expenses were met by himself. Three or four other people went to sit at the table after dinner. He produced the wine chits, and said all the drinka
were accounted for by them. The party at the table had three bot- tles of chanpagne.
Mr. Darand was cress-exantined by Mr. Taylor, and denied calling Mr. Taylor a fool, or calling Mrs Taylor by a similar name. He also denied kicking. Mrs. Taylor, and denied that he "struck the "police ofeer.

Mr. Taylor then asked the Magistrate if he could put a ques- tion to the witness concerning his successor.
