Hit- Dataria ting hard ground with the club be Calcutta fore the ball is struck will spoil the Dehli dircation of the shot by turning the Galle shaft in the player's hands and will rob the impact of the firmness and pep which it should have.
After playing, it is a good prac- tice to wipe the clubs free of any moisture which might cause them to warp. The shafts should be
lightly oiled every week or so. Any fraying of the grip or "binding threads should be tended to im mediately by an expert.
The best way to keep the cluba when not in use is to place them across a table, being 'sure the shafts are lying flat, with the heads over the edge of the table.
