DIVING FOR LOST SUBMARINE.--Divers making heroic attempts near New London, Conn., to raise the U. S. navy submarine S-51 which sank in a collision last autumn, only three of the crew escaping.

FIRST SALVAGE FROM TRAGIC 8.51,-Divers off Now London, Conn., have brought up the first salvage from the U. 8. Navy submarine 3-51, a deck grating. Under-see workers are stripping all unnecessary wpight from the boat, which sank with heavy loss of life after the collision, to facilitate raising.
