The Honorary Representatives at Swatow, Amoy, Manila and Formosa have been most useful in giving the School sound advice and help.

The Staff.

Twd, masters were on leave dur ing the year; this has meant that we have had a slightly larger Staff than usual. In January Mr. Chiu Kam-chau resigned on going to Shanghai. In February Mr. Chiu Lok-hau was appointed an Asa tant Chinese Master. Mrs. E. Hancock, a temporary Part Tinie Assistant Lady Teacher, resigned. In March Mrs. C. James returned to the Colony and began teaching" ir the mornings. On March 15, the Rev. H. du T. Pyner went on | furlough and in May Mr. W. Barnes, a Student Teacher, resign- el to go into business at Swatow. In August Mrs. C. Leong left: wing to the reorganisation of Class 7 her services were not re- quired in September.

John Pau was top in the King Edward VII Scholarship and in the Education Scholarship and took the former. S. V, Gittins won a King Edward VII Scholarship.

In the Junior Local Examina- tions the results, we think, were even better. Out of 41 Distine- tions awarded to boys' schools in Hongkong we gained 16 and got Distinctions in Arithmetic, Rok- keeping. Chemistry, Chinese, Fag- Mechanics, lish, Mathematics, Music, Physics, and Trigonometry,

This, we feel, shows the general high standard of work done in the School and we hope it will can- tinue,
