This radio-photo of a strike incident at Home was taken in London and wirelessed to New York. By being rushed ac- ross America and the Pacific it has beaten the arrival of pictures by the Suez route. It shows Capt. Peeble Chaplin. and Lady Louis Mountbatten, youthful wife of England's richest peer, distributing milk at a strike relief station in Hyde Park.

This radio photograph shows volunteer workers in Hyde Park, manning motor lorries. to distribute milk to London's babies and invalids. This picture was taken after Britain's 5,000,000 Union workers had walked out, and was sent to New York by radio photo.

Armed guards dispersed crowds of strikers in the Passaic belt who attempted to hold a meeting at. Gar field, N. J., (above). A few minutes lator, however, an injunction was sorved prohibiting interference with the meeting.

Radio took across the Atlantic, this striking picture of Britain's war-like preparations for a general strike. The helmeted cavalrymen, with guns slung across their shoulders, were photographed marching past the London law courts a few hours aftor five million workers laid down their tools. The troops were ordered out to maintain order.

This picturo is ono of the first to be transmitted commoroially by wireless from England to America by the Radio Corporation of America. Transmission opened at midnight in London on May 1. Within a short time this picture, showing the noap-to- nose finish of one of the Newmarket races, was on its way to Now York Transmission
