Playing at Southampton, Hamp- shire defeated Sussex by ten wickets. The scores were:-

Sussex, 126 and 333. There was very consistent scoring in Hampshire's first innings, Brown making 64, Mead. 65, Jameson 54 and Boyes 50. In the second knock, Bowell (52) and Newman (50) made the required runs between them.

For Sussex, Landridge with 87 and A. H. Gilligan with 70, were of note. In the only scorers

Sussex's first innings, Boyes took six wickets for 23 runs.

Yorkshire's Further Point.

Playing at Sheffield, Yorkshire gained a first innings' advantage over Kent. The scores were:-

The Shanghai score was 940, this comparing with Hong- kong's total of 896, and Singapore's figure of 887. This will be Shang- hai's second win in succession, for last year.the trophy was won with a score of 1921.
