Exceptional interest attaches to the discovery by Mr. Eric Carlberg of a picture, valued at £50,000, which is regarded by experts as the joint work of Rubens and Van Dyck. It was found obscured by dirt, behind the bathroom door of a house at Richmond. Hidden behind the old " stretcher was found manuscript stating that the picture was an original, painted by Rubens and "hie favourite pupil," and was called Time Leading on the Young Artist." Mr. Carlborg is a native of Stockholm and has beon resident in London for about three years. He has received offers from America for the picture.
