With courses drying up and the young grass boginning to grow golf is attracting more and more people each day says a Howe writer. Courses during the week- end were crowded, but why: because they were crowded it should tako such hours to play a round is not difficult to undor- stand. After all, no one ought to take more than two hours to play a round of golf; yot three hours was an average time on many courses on Sunday where four hall foursomes and threesomes were not allowed. The explun-| ation undoubtedly comes from tho todionsly slow gait of tho players especially the younger ones, who seem to bo qualifying for a funeral procession. Further, players who know that nover int their lives can they reach
