"Stickum" for Felt. Question: What kind of cement or glue can I use to stick felt strips onto my car? Everything that I have yet used for this pur- pose has cracked and loosened.
Answer: If we knew to what kind of surfaces, wond, metal or (otherwise you wish to fasten the strips and whether the adhesive will be exposed to heat or mois- ture, we should be able to answer you more helpfully. In case, you have not tried rubber 'cement, it might be well to do so, as it does not dry brittle, is waterproof and will stick to most surfaces, if they are free from oil or grease and have been alightly roughened. Thick shellac is also a good adhesive, where resistance to oil is desired and temperatures are not too high. If you will advise, us exactly the conditions of use, we will try to look up a cement to meet them...

CEYLON'S MOTOR TRAFFIC.
The year 1925 saw another big' Increase in motor trafic in Ceylon and the latest figures give an indication of the growth of bus traffic in the Island. There has been a steady influx of motor cars and over a thousand were put on the road last year for privata use alone. The total number of motor ears, both private and public, was 6,560 ns against 5,281 during the preceding year. The number of 'buses on the rond was almost twice as many as there were at the end of 1924. The fact that motor: vehicles are being substituted for other means of transport la de- monstrated in the increase of lorries, as many, as 34 having been added to the register during the past year. The total number of lorries in the Island is now 1,001 The total number of mechanically-driven vehicles of all kinds was 11,497 as against 9,029 at the end of 1924
