George Duncan played magni- ficent golf in the Guildford Alliance 36-holes competition against bogey at St. George's Hill recently. Handicapped at plus 2, he won the Lamarque Cup with: a return of up. At the end of the first round he was the only player to have finished square'; with bogey, and he led by a hole from J. L. Turner, of Frilford Heath. In the second his play was oven better, and he was round in 72. He lost four holes to bogey, but won six, two of them being "eagles" (two, stokos batter than bogey).
