Trams Versus Omnibus.
The tram versus motor bus controversy continues to arouse as, much interest as ever in England, During the last year or two many efforts have been made in the way of special legislation to protects the tramways. But, as Motor Transport says, if they are worth preserving surely they should be able to stand on their own merits, omnibuses or no omnibuses, if they cannot justify their existence, they are bound to disappear, pro- tection or no protection.
1926 Prophecies.

The Buckau, it is) evident, has not boon a mercial success. It has been employed between Hamburg and Danzig, and it is stated that the ship has proved herself, quito seaworthy, although she has cost as much to run under rotors as under power. Whether thero is anything in this now idea, thore- fore, beyond the rather interest- ing demonstration that revolving) towers can propel a floating vessel seems to be doubtful; Herr Flottner the inventor of the rotors told the Borlin cor- respondent of Lloyd's List that a 3,000-ton ship is being con- structed specially for rotor pro- pulsion. Sho is to be ready about July. Of course, rotor- towers were only grafted on to the Buckan. She was not do. signed for the purpose. It may be therefore that rotors have not had a proper chance and may be. found of somo.uso. But it seems long chances against their being found of much more use than Fallon of their ever competing

Up a 12% Grade in high
Faced by a drawbridge, opened until its road- way presented to you a 12% grade, you would decide immediately that no car on earth could climb such a height in high. Railroad engineering limits its grades to 4%.
But the Better Bulck, with its 75 horsepower Valve-in-Hoad engine, can stop dead still in front of a 12% grade-then start in high gear, -and lift itself to the top-gaining speed all the way.
The Better Buick is a remarkable motor car. Its horsepower is only one of the many new features added to the Buick qualities you have known in the past. New reliability is assured by the "Triple Sealed Engine." (AIF Now cleaner, gasoline filter and oil filter). comfort, is found in more spacious, mora luxurious body interiors.
