To strengthen the basis of democratic sooisi organization by incrossing the number of literate oitizens, ABAJO
To strengthen the bonds of union of all the Filipinos by enabling everyone to read and write
ORGANIZATION, AGE
The national supreme council will designate June 19, 1926, Rizal a Birthday, by proclamation, as the formal opening day of the campaign throughout the Islands

They will be directly in charge of the literacy work in their respective jurisdictions.
Pledge: The following pledge will be distributed to all intermediate, high school and univarsity students: "Having received of my country the gift of education, I owe it to her to pass it on to others less fortunate than myself. I will therefore, before this year is over, teach at least one illiterate adult how to read? and write in my dialect. This I Bolemnly pledge myself to - đò with the help of God."

The manager of Messrs. John Pound and Co. informed a re- presentative of The Observer that the sale of purses declined 75 por cont. when sovereigns wore withdrawn.. When one building has been completed to the first-floor level, the shuttering is removed to the site of the next building. The second set of shuttering then comes into operation for the up- por storey.
The houses are of the non- parlour type, with solid walls throughout, and the cost of £425 por house-including drains, foncos, electrio wiring, gaspoints; compares with £500 for 1 similar house in brick.
This figure of £425 works out at 10d. pur super foot.
