The dinner was given, as A token of appreciablon of the excel- lent work done by Captain Britten on the voyage, by Mr. Edward Sykes, Honorary Commissioner of the New York Police Department. and although the party was large. It was a most happy one. Another guest of honour was the, Hon. Mr..E.D.C. Wolfe, Captain Superintendent of Police. Others present at the dinner table worej the Rev. John A. Pugsley, lawyer and banker, New York; Mr. H. Sweet, Mrs. E. S. Sawtelle, Miss K. A. Larson, Mrs. M. L. Cleveland, Mr. Paul McGinnis (journalist), Mrs. Clarke, Miss H. L. Parkhurst and Sub-Inspector Dorling (Hong- kong Police Force).
