Shanghai-Hankow Rugby Interport.

Above is a photograph of the Shanghai and Hankow inter port rugger teams taken just before the match in Hankow, which resulted in Hankow's winning by 30 points to 8. Conditions on the day were so bad that the photograph had to be taken inside the Hankow Race Club, with the two teams together, instead of separate photographs being takai of oach side. The names of the teams are as follow:-Shanghai: Nicholl, Bichurd, Simpen. M lligan. Hooper, King, Neill, Stewart, Mann, Howell, Crowe. Grew, Lancashire, Samson, Watkinson. Hankow: Yoxall, White, Bathurst, McLaren, Furry, Bates, Shiell-Small, Sullivan, Blake, Bell-Irving, Reid.

The most notable society wedding of the season in Peking took plaen whon Princess Hisao. Wen, second daughter of the Mongolian King Karaichin, became the bride of Prince Chien Chiu, fifteenth son of the late Prince" Sou, and ecasin to the ex-Emperor Hyah Tung. The bride wore the royal Manchu wedding costume appropriate to the rank of her husband, rather than the Mongolian dress of

her fathers.
