The master of a cargo boat was charged with receiving the stolen property, but was acquitted on the evidence being Insufflelent to prove guilty knowledge.
It was given in evidence that a party of police raided a cargo boat on the night of the 17th inst. and arrested the first defendant, who, on the approach of the police, jumped into the water, but later aubmitted to arrest.
