Thirty-one wooden vessels which were once part of America's wooden fleet that never saw survice during the World War were recently so afire in the Potomac river at Quantico, Va. These vessels, which cost the U. S. governmont $31,000,000, were sold for a song to a salvaging company which took out the engines and other salabio parts and then set the hulls afire,
