TWO CANTON SPEECHES.

PRAISE FOR RUSSIANS.

Two speeches of considerable interest have just been delivered in Canton-one by Madame Sun Yat-sen and the other by General Chang Kai-shok, the Whampoa Cadet loader who has just returned to the city.

It was at a Kuomintang gathering, the day after her arrival, that Madame Sun spoke, the burden of her speech being a plea for unity in the Party. Goneral Chang declared that the unification of China was being materially assisted by the unifying of Kwangtung, und he urged further co-operation with Canton's "Russian comrades, so that eventually Canton might be compared with Moscow.
