BOXER INDEMNITY.

BRITISH DELEGATION TO CHINA.

London, Jan. 7. The Foreign Office announcas that the British members of the Boxer Idemnity Advisory Commit- tee, namely Lord Buxton, Lord Wil- lingdon, Sir Charles Addis, Siz William Clark, Sir Christopher Needham, Professor Soothill, Mr. | S. P. Waterlow and Dame Adelaide Anderson have held informal meet- inga to discuss the best means of carrying out their task with special | reference to the changing condi tions in China. As a result it has been decided to increase the Chinese membership of the Com. mittee to three and to appoint a de-i legation of three British and three- Chinese members of the Committee' to meet in China and consider the whole question on the spot, to take evidence there with regard to various matters, involved and to report its conclusions to the whole Committee. The British members of the delegation will be Lord Wil- Ingdon (Chairman), Proof Soot- hill and Dame Anderson and they are going to China immediately. It is hoped that the full Delega- tion will be able to begin work by the beginning of March.---Reuter.
