The Shanghai Town Hall was a blaze of bloome for the opening of the chrysanthemum show of the local Horticultural Society. At the far end of the main hall the Municipal exhibit towered above the others in the form of a colourful bank of flowers down which poured a cascade of white blossoms into a pool of water in which gold fish darted here and there. Leading up a marble stairway to the fountain was an avenue of flowers and ferns, while above them curled little bronze figures of water babies. The show this year was better than ever.

This is William Henry J. Kemp, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Komp, of Shanghai, one of the first five boys of the S. M. C. Public School for Boys to pass the London Matriculation Examination," He passed. the Hongkong Matric with Honours, and two distinctions last year.

The Shanghai Jewish Troop of Boy Scouts won the Rotary Club Shield at the annual Jamboree held at Millington Cemp. on Armistice Day. The Scoutere in the centre of the front row, from left to right, are Assistant Scoutmaster Z. Roson, District Scoutmaster Noel Jacobs (in charge of the troop) and Assistant Scoutmaster W. Goldenborg. As this is the third time in succession the Jewish Troop has won this trophy, a miniature of the shield was presented to them at the Jamborea Dinner held at the Talkoo Boss...
