WIN FOR ARMY TEAM.

Three goals, scored in nearly as many minutes in the first half, enabled the East Surreys "A". team to defeat Hongkong Hockey Club A team by three goals to two at Sookunpoo last evening. Although at half-time the Club were still three goals down, by? steady play they reduced the load.

Right from the start the Army made the running, and Roberts flashed the ball into the net before the Club knew where they were.; From the bully-off the same: player added a second. Hardly had the game boon ro-started when Dentry put on a third for the Army. Up to this time the Club had been playing one man short. Thon the late player arrived, and the gamo took on a different aspect. Despite most strenuous offort, however, no fuir- ther score was made in the first half.

On resuming, the gume was more oven, and after a good deal) of attacking the Club siscceeded in obtaining their first goal, and the game was drawing to a close before they scored a second. They made strong efforts to draw lovel, but succoss did not crown their offorts.
