Two cups thick apple sauce, 1 cup jelly or any flavour, 3 eggs, cup powdered sugar, teaspoon vanilla.

If you do not, then you are ad- mitting alarming ignorance, for scores of critica keep telling us and in no simple terms.

And yet I make bold to say that, far from being immodest, modern dress is as delightful to the wearers as it is charming to observes.

Of course there are extremists, but black sheep can never be the criterion for the fold.

And what, after all, are the critics casting slurs upon: Look back a few years and compare present-day modes with fashions that passed uncriticised pomo yours ago. Is it necessary to recull to these curious critics that the human form has inspired the highest and i noblest art through many cen- turios? Can they not see that, within the bounds of normal pre- sent-day modes there need be no trace of immodesty? If a person wants to be rockless and immo- dest, more insidious suggestive-| ness can be shown in the oldest of fashions than in any modern mode,

And the most remarkable refu- tation of this immodesty charge lies in the fact that the vast 'ma- jority continues to support the current conditions. And quite rightly, too, for more healthy, neat, and charming attires have never been seen. Personally, I do not remember a time when girls looked so sensibly and so de-f lightfully dresked.

Compare the healthiness and utility of an open neck and short skirt with the choking dresses and long skirts that dragged into all the dirt and dust whenever! the owner ventured abroad.
