Mr. Lo agreed that owing to the present trouble, à censorship was inevitable, but at the same time, he pointed out the tremendous in- convenience that was being caused to the Chinese newspapers. It was inevitable, Mr. Lo submitted, that some slips of this nature should occur.

Mr. McElderry thought that in the circumstances a fine of $25 would be sufficient.

“TREVESSA" TROPHY.

THE FOURTH RACE TO-MORROW.

It is two years since a prominent. Hongkong yachtsman, who still wishes to remain anonymous, pre- sented a trophy for competition among lifeboat crews from ships which call at Hongkong. He dil so that the story of the 1700 miles voyage in open boats by Captain Foster and his men from the s Trevesa 'might not be forgotten.. in at least one part of the world.

. The idea soon caught on here and each race sailed so far has aroused keen interest and verg earnest competition. The first Įrace attracted ten entries and the last race suw nearly twenty bonts face the starter at Channel Rocks.

The fourth racells to be held to morrow and it is hoped that, there will be even more entries than last time although no extimate cana be given as invariably entries are post entries on account of the un...... certainty of ships arrivals and. departures.

Of all the sailing races that are contested in the Harbour none can surpass the Trevoia ruces for keeness and enthusiasm and they are always well worth watching. particularly if the day is blessed with plenty of wind. There is a launch leaving Queen's Pier to morrow afternoon at a p.m. and the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club com mittec, in whose hands arrange ments are invite visitors, aboard to follow the race,

The Second International Fair, of Samples will be holdin Hayama, Cuba, from 5th to 24h February! 1926. The Government hope to obtain co-operation from this part

of the world, in the w

exhibits.
