THE LOCARNO PACT.
Berlin, October 28.
The conclusion of the deliberations of the Fereign Committee of the Reichstug on the Locarno Pact revealed Cabinet unanimity, but the German Nationals are still in no wise placated and consequently find themselves in opposition to their own ministers. A step towards conciliation was taken by. Herr Stresemann in addressing the Com- mittee. He said that the Western Pact. was merely a renunciation of aggressive wars and did not interfer with the rights of self- determination or any other peaceful developments. The statement was designed to remove the Nationalists objections that Article one the territory of the Treaty contained an eternal renunciation of Germany lost in the West.-Reuter.
FALL OF THE FRANC.
Paris, October 23.

Caillaux must submit a general plan for the reorganisation of the country's finances in which millards are needed.
There have been reports "of a disagreement in the Cabinet in regard to M. Caillaux's project. Rumours that M. Caillaux may were promptly resign before parliament reassembles on the 20th denied.
