This Year's Exhibition.

The National Association of Radio Mumifacturers and Traders hold their Fourth Annual Exhibi- tion at the Albert Hall, London, Exhibition increaser yearly in in September. The fact that this

size and importance is not to be wondered at, rather is it to bo fully expected as the natural growth of a young but thriving industry, as to which, even the experts engaged in it are unable to foretell to what magnitude it may attain.

Germany has long boon threat ened with the American film' In- vasion and long feared it in spite of the fact that only an exact number of metros of foreign film may be imported, corresponding to the number manufactured, by Germans themselves, says the Berlin correspondent of a Home paper. COUNTRY HOUSE GHOSTS.

>

Guests Invited to Investi gate.

"Will you," runs an advertise- ment in the Times "bocome a guest in à country house where two ghosts are said to exist, and get into communication with them?" This is a novel sug- gestion Investigating a supposed Eaunting. The course usually adopted is to send to the Society. for Psychical Research, who are always very pleased, it was stated recently, provided there is a prima facie case, to send down a special investigator.

Whether the investigator is able to get into communication" is another mattor. Ghosts are not always obliging enough to return at stated hours. You can- not show them to your guests or investigators as you can show family portraits. Often it has happened when the Society's in- vestigator has gone to a haunted house that the haunting have ceused. Sometimes and this in itsoif is always interesting, it was nointed out he has been able to traca thom to natural causes. There are other casos where the phenomena are less easily ox- plained.

One of the most commonly re- ported features in cases of haunt- od houses is the frequent occur- rence of alarming and unaccount- able noisos. In many casos it is the noisos that attract most at- tention, while the seeing of an apparition sooms a merely sub- sidiary phenomenon.

The conclusion is recorded in the Society's Proceedinge" that; the sounds described are some- times such that It is difficult to conceive of any ordinary ex- planation of them which would. not havo boon discovered by the persons living in the house and nstantly looking out for some such explanation. There are also, it is stated, a few cases where it is reported that the Bounds indicate some intelligence, as, for example, when raps on the wall reply to "apokon or mental questions.
