Pingehiao quarry, the property of the Shanghai Municipal Council, is often spoken of but few people know anything about it. This is a picture of the quarry, which is in Choklang province, near Hangchow, and supplies large quantities of stone to Shanghai, the matarial being brought by boats along the creeks.
