Oversea visitors to Wembley were recently entertained": by the Government. Our photograph shows Mr. and Mrs./ Amory receiving visitors from India, ("Timos" oopyright. photograph).

These views were taken towards the close of the Scopes, evolution trial in Dayton, Ton- Inesson. The top picture shows the proscention table, with the late Wm. Jennings Bryan op] the right. The middle photograph is of the twelve good men and true" who formed the jury, that found Scopes guilty. The bottom picture shows the defence table. Both court- room views give an idea of the crowded conditions under which the trial was hold. The final day's summing-up was delivered in the open-air, before a big crowd who partook of rofrosh- ments, necessitated by the hot weather prevailing."
