The British-American Tobacco Co. (China), Ltd., have moved back into their remodelled home at the corner of Muscum and Soochow Roads, Shanghai. The original structure was erected in 1907 for Mossrs. Mustard andCompany, who have now re- ocoupled the ground floor. The expansion of the B.A.T.'s interests demanded the use of the whole space for executive purposes, and the remodelling of the structure was recommenced towards the end of June last year. Reinforced concreto has been on ployed in the rebulit western und, in the ground floor street fronts, in the light courts and the cornice which bonds the whole fabric, while structural stool has been employed for the roof.
