Although various Szechuan leaders anve préserved a certain unity in the face of a common enemy, Yang Sen though it improbable that in many quarters this solidarity would continue, especially as Yuan Tau- ming, in view of the assistance he rendered in the recant campaign against Yang Sen, was not likely now accept a back seat in regard to provincial affairs..
