Sir, I am perhaps not strain- ing the sense of words if I draw from the opening eontonao of the Rev. Mr. Lindsay's articlo in your issus of. Saturday last the Inference that the writer regards all atheists and agnostics as insane. I am not aware whether tho writer had in mind whon he wrote, such names as those of Berlioz, Darwin, Huxley, Maro- dith, William Morris, Spencer, Brahms, Swinburne, Shelley,! Haeokol and Owon. If he had, one oan anly, when one remem- bors the world's debt to these and other unbelievers, parody woll known words and wish that they had bitton a few others.

Is it not timo that our friends in the churches learnt to conduct calling propaganda

without namos? Or can it be that the apostolic precedence has gone| by the board and that the greatest i of these is now faith?
