An interesting snapshot of a "header" in the Flap- ping Races at St. Buryan, Cornwall, England. The horse failed to clear a stone hurdle and landed on his noso while his rider was catapulted free. Neither was injured.

The Coast Guard is just now engaging in the greatest offensive since prohibition against the rum leet standing off New York and vicinity. More than 50 vessels of overy type have boon congregated in and around the rum fleet. When the government boat M. E. Norman turned over in the Mississippi river, near Memphie, Team, causing the Heath of more than a score of people, Tom Lee, nogro inset) proved himself a hero.
