TANG CHI-YAO BOTTLED UP.

Latosi nows to hand from Kwangsi (SAYS the Canton Gazette) reports that General Fan Shek-sang, whose troops are repolling the invasion of Kwang- si by Warlord Taug Chi-yao, has bottled up both wings of Tang Chi-yaa's forces in Nanning and, it is asserted in military circles, that the defeat and surrender of Tang Chi-yao's forces are cortain. TANG RECEIVES A SETBACK,

Peking, May 18.

The Government have received a report from a secret agent at Chungking stating that Tang Chi- yao, on hearing that his fozoes had been defeated in Kwangai, had decided to proceed there and personally lead them.

A report from Kweichow states that Tang Chi-pac has already left Yunnan, handing over au- thority to General Li, Military Commissioner at Talifu.

Yuan. Teu-ming is reported to have appointed General Chín Han-ting Commander-in Chief of the expedition against Tang Chi- yao in Yunnan.

These and other reports indicate that Tang Chi-yao has had a setback in his attempt to invade Kwangtung, but it is not believed that he has suffered a decisive defoot.-Daily Bulletin..
