Those Eyes!
a
Sir, I have been greatly inter- ested in reading in a contemporary of yours that a certain. Dr. Russ has discovered amazing proof that! the human oyo gives off magnetic ray powerful enough to affect an instrument and keep it running by merely staring at it. Wonderful! Woll I'll say that if the coolios who hang around the lowar dook of the ship on which I am employed could be fathered into a sort of power station, enough magnetic ray force would be generated to drive a motor bus, for they are surely past mastera in the art of staring.
Only bring out the smallest joh from the engine-room and start to work on it, for on some local ships the lower deck and im- mediate vicinity is often crowded with these magnetlo ray fans, and we can get neither daylight nor elbow-room.
Yours etc.,
CROSSHEAD.

TEETHING WITHOUT TEARS.
ΠΟ
The misery and pain that many little ones suffer through teething time is expressed eloquently, in fits of pitiful crying, fever, refusal of food, and diarrhoea-or perhaps constipation. Baby's Own Tablets
guaranteed to contain opiates and to be perfectly harm- less oven to the youngest infant in arms act like magic, comfort baby and give rost to the mother, while toathing progresses without pain.
Childron like Baby's Own Tablots because they are tasteless and pleasant. Besides being so helpful during the teething period these Tablets remedy digestive! troubles, constipation, calic check diarrhoea, allay fever, expel worme. Of your chemist, or post free, 60 cents. the vial, from Dr.
