SNAKES...

Tigers' 62 Victims In One Year.

During the yoar 1923, says the latest administration report, 111

previous year, were killed by persons, or 16 more than in the wild animalo other than snakes, announcos the Rangoon, Times. Tigers caused the death of 62 persons, including 14 in Promo, 8 in Kyaukpyu, and 6 in. Minbu. In the Prome District there were also 14 persons killed by leopards or panthors. Eight persons in] Pakokku, and eight in various other parts of the province, were killed by elephants; and six in Mergul, two in Myaungmya and ond in Kyaukpyu, by crocodiles. Othor deaths wore caused by bears and buffaloes'and'one each by a wild boar and a black lizard. There were 1,472 deaths from snake-bite reported, 117: more than in 1922: The districts mast prominent on this account were Tharawaddy (185 deaths) Ma- abin (120). Myingyan (116), Prome (108). Sagaing (102) and Insem
