The Competition starts on Monday, December 29th. 1924, and ends on April 25th. 1925.

Each coupon sent in muat bear the name and address of the competitor in ink. Coupons not so filled in will be invalid.

Competitors are required to fill in the missing con- sonants from skeleton words which will appear daily in coupons in "The Hongkong Telegraph, different skeleton word appearing every day during The order of the the period of the Competition. vowels as indicated in each coupon must not be varied, neither must the number of letters in each completed word be made greater than that indicated in each skeleton word.

3. Competitors may send in as many solutions as they desire, but each solution must be on a separate

coupon.

The First Prize (a 1925 special model five-passenger Dodge motor car) will be awarded to the competitor sending in the largest number of correct solutions, The Second Prize (a Victrola cabinet gramaphone) will be awarded to the competitor sending in the second largest number of correct solutions. The Third Prize (a No. 5 model standard Underwood Typewriter) will be awarded to the competitor sending in the third largest number of correct solutions.

RULES

No responsibility will be accepted by "The Hongkong Telegraph" for the loss or non-delivery of any coupon or coupons. The Editor's decision on any disputed point must be accepted as final. `

No member of "The Hongkong Telegraph " staff will be eligible to take part in the Competition.

Coupons must be sent into this office on or before. the dates specified on the coupons; otherwise they will be invalid.

Coupons must be cut from "The Hongkong Telegraph," purchased in the ordinary manner. Special orders for batches of newspapers will not be accepted.

10. Envelopes containing coupons must be plainly marked
