SUDANESE TROOPS MUTINY.

Cairo, Now 28. Two platoons of the 11th Sudanese regiment at Khartum mutinied and rushed the military hospital, killing one British and .two Syrian doctora.. British troops fired on the mutineers who

suffered severe casualties,"

London, Nov, 28.

I connection with yesterday's arrests at Cairo, it is declared here that no doubt whatever is entertained In British well-informed quarters of the existence of an extensivo underground conspiracy, although nothing is known of special designs against individuals. The arrests wore made in the nature of special precautions which are being taken. Additlount arrests have been ordered for the same

reason.

Cairo, Nov. 28.

The Egyptian police are arresting thirty-five persons presumably | as a precaution. Twelve arrests have already been made. The Alsinsen' understands that the thres persons arrested yesterday were suspected of conspiring against the lives of General Allonby and the present members of the Cabinet. The leader of the local students was arrested by the Egyptian polico.

General Allenby did not attend the St. Andrew's dianer owing - to illness.

In view of the continuance of the students' strike, the Ministry. of Education has issued a statement that the schools would be con-) ducted frrèspective of the numbers present.

Ex-Premier Rushdi Pasha favours the submission of the dispate

to the League of Nations. He is surprised that the Government}

hitherto has not taken an official step in this sense.

The Alchram understands that Persin is ready to raise the question with the League on behalf of Egypt.

A meeting of the Wafd, or Nationalist Delegation, attended by several Zaghlulist ex-members of the Cabinet pussed a resolution | protesting against the declaration of Ziwar Pasha to the representa-1 tives of the foreign press wherein inter alia Ziwar said that he hoped to come to an agreement with the British Government in regard to the watera of the Nile. The resolution declares that the statement Bavours of fear on the part of the Egyptian Government "a fear that the people do not feel." The nation does not ask for an arrange- ment in regard to the waters of the Nile. It'insists on the rights of Egypt in the Sudan.

The resolution protests against the Government's consent to -the withdrawal of the Egyptian troops from the Sudan and against] the arrests of deputies and expresses the opinion that in allowing] such action the Ministry has accepted the British attack on the Constitution and declares that the acts of the Government, which has, not faced Parliament and has not obtained Parliament's confidence, are null and void and Impossible of ratification by the country, --Reuter.

Paris, Nov. 28.

The Petit Parisien understands that the British Ambassador has exprésand to M.-Herriot the thanks of the English Government for France's loyal and impartial attitude in the Anglo-Egyptian crisis.

The Journal announces that a group of French scholars and writers have formed a pro-Hindoo committee in order to develop intellectual relations with India.-Furaa.

Douglas Fairbanks the THIEF of BAGDAD

This beautifully fanciful story was born of a poet's dream in Araby and made into an entrancing reality by Douglas Fairbanks.

}

It breathes the spirit of imaginary worlds where the unusual is usual, the impossible is possible, and Romance and Adventure are Life, Itself.
