CONSERVATIVE-LIBERAL ONSLAUGHT

ON LABOUR.

London, Oct. 18.

A wock of oratory shows that the Conservatives, whose hopes of a victory are very high, are vigorously attacking the Labour Govern- ment on patriotic grounds, Mr. Winston Churchill yesterday giving the slogan "Red Fing versus Union Jack," which was repeated with variations on Conservative, platforms.

There are anti-Labour demonstrations throughout the country, Pictures of Ruminn Bolshevists carrying bags of British money are the most conspicuous feature of the Innumerable Conservative electioneering posters.

This joint Conservative and Liberal onslaught on Labour has been productive of a rapprochement Between two traditionally opposed old parties unprecedented in British politics, In some cases Conservative and Liberal candidates shook hande publicly, and Lord Birkenhend in the course of his demunciation said, "After the disastrous period of Socialist Government” he wished "from the bottom of my heart success, ta that patriotic-Englishman, Mr. Asquith at Pulley,"

On the other hand Mr. Walsh, the Secretary of State for War, denounced Mr. Asquith as "Pecksniff," while Mr. Philly Snowden, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, charged Mr. Lloyd George with playing a deep political gume and predicted that if the Conservatives were returned with a small majority the country would and itself governed by a party led by Mr: Lloyd George, Mr. Winston Churchill and Lord Birkenhead, with Mr. Asquith excluded. This is an increase of over 30%. It is no wonder that à record breaking volume of business is expected for the new scason.

Because the value of Buick output has each year been greater than that of any other exhibitor, Buick has held first place in every National Automobile Show in the United States during the last six years. In 1923, Buick sold 218,516, motor cars, representing a value of $302,752.950 no! including war tax or freight. In the New York district alone 12-5/10% of the 88,026 new cars so' in 1923 were Buicks.
