The ZRS has been sighted at Lakehurst, The ZR3 arrived at Lakehurst 81 hours and 25. minutos after leaving Friedrichshafen. It made a fine landing. President Coolidgo immediately sent a message congratulating Captain Eckener on the airship's epoch-making achievement. He said:

It is a matter of

great satisfaction to me and the people of the United States that peaceful relations with Germany and America have been fully re- established, and this great airship has inaugurated the first direct air flight between America and Germany."

There were enthusiastic scenes on the arrival of the ZRS, osoorted by two aeroplanes.
