An unconfirmed report from Dairon says that the Fengtien troops have captured: Chinwangtao assisted by an aerial hömbardi Attempt to Blow_Up_Wu Pel-fu's Train.
Peking, October 11. Wu Pel-fu and his staff departed early this morning for the Shanhalkuan front. Several military attaches' and foreign pressmen and travelling in the same train. It is reported that Wa's train also carried upwards of million dollars to pay the troops at the front- Router.

A crude attempt to blow up Wu Pel-fu's train was made yOUL- terday morning at five o'clock, beyond Tientsin, where two galvanizad- tins slightly larger than kerosene, tins were placed on lino. Chian Ping-chien's train which left Peking at midnight apparently, struck and partly crushed one tin, out of which there spilled a quantity of white powder said to be a high explosive, but tho į detonator was untouched.
Two Ruselan rallway workers who found the infernal machines were detained pending enquiry. It appears that both tins wore brushed off by the cowcatchers and replaced, but discovered prior to the arrival of Marshal. Wu's, train. If the attempt had come off according to plan it would probably only have injured the engine. According to foreign reports the Chihli forces have driven out the Fengtien troop from Chiumenkou. There is no other fghting on that front.-Reuter.

General Lu in a commanique, states that the Cheklang troops have been ordered to fallback from the Chingpoo sector in order to straighten the Hwangla-Sunklang iine. This releases a number of troops, which Luia rushing in the direction of Sunkiang, where, the enemy is active. According to an unconfirmed report, Chi hog ordered a general attack on the entire Lluho-Sunkiang front-Router-

It is learned from an official German source that Germany's 800,- 000,000 Gold Mark loan..under the Dawes scheme, which was finally arranged yesterday, will comprise on American portion of one hundred and ten million dollars, and a European share of twenty-six and a half millions sterling. The loan is being issued to all participating countries next week at ninety-two, to bear seven per cent. Intereat. Mr. J. P. Morgan has taken the American portion, and the Bank of England covers the greater part of the European, wherein Frances Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Sweden and Germany will parti- The loan is repayable in twenty-five-years, the European cipate. portion at par and the American at one hundred and five. Service of the loan takes precedence over all reparation payment.
It is believed the British portion of the German loan is approxi mitely twenty millions, the French three millions, Belgium, Sweden; and Italy one and a half million each and other participants between one and two millions each.
