10 temporary Union Church in Borrected to noon to-day: Kawloon will take place next briday, Sept 19th, at 6 p.m., when the Rev. J. Horace Johnston will offctate, and other ministern attending and assisting will be Rev. O. Clouston Porri, Minister of the Wesleyan Church, Rev. G R. Lindsay, M.A., Vicar of BL Andrew's, Kowloon, Rev. Thos. W. Pearce, D.D., London Misalon- ary Boolety, Rev. H. Copley Moyle, St. John's Cathedral, Hongkong. The opening will be performed by Lady Bovern, who will be accompanied by Sir Claud Severn, and the presentation will be by Mr. J, L. Mo Pherson, chairman of managers of tho Union Church.

This new building, which is to bo used pending the erection of the permanent church, near tho Kowloon Hospital, is situated at the Junction of Jordan Road and Cox's Path. It has been founded through the initiative of the Union Churobi, Hongkong, assisted by the generosity of Elr Chator. As the name Paul implies, it is & union of Chris tlans of various denominations and of different countries, for the maintenance of tallgious Ordinances on broad and simple lines, without reference to minor differences in points of doctrine and Church order.

On the Bunday following. Sept.| 21st, there will be two services in the new ohurch, at 11 a m. and 6 p.m. On Wednesday, Sept 14th, there will be a publle social gathering, at 8.45 p.m., with musto and refreshments, when short speeches of congratulation will be made by Rev. G. R. Lindsay, M. A., Rov. C. Clouston Porri, Rev. Norman A. Peel and others.
