OBITUARY.
London, June 2
The death is announced of Admiral Sir Charles Dundas,.K.C.M.G. -Router:
[Admiral Sir Charles Dundas was born in 1859 and was educated at Clifton Bank and St. Andrews. He joined H.M.S. Andacious, the. thon flagship of the China Station, us naval cadet in 1874, being
Commander in. promoted to Lieutenant in 1883, He was made a 1890, and during the Boer War sarved in the Cape Squadron, being promoted Captain. He saw service in command of H.M.S. Forta in 1904-6 on the East African Station, and received the approval of the Admiralty for his prompt action in reference to Russian ́nuxi- llary cruisers. Admiral Dundas was naval attache at Toklo in .1908-10, and appointed A.D.C. to King George V in 1920. He was attached to the personal staff of Admiral Count Toge during his vialt to England in 1913. He saw service in the late war as Prin- cipal Transport Officer, France, from 1915-17. He succeeded his Admiral Dundas father as 28th Chief of Dundas in March 1904.
