WINDOW

The above plan of the dining table at Victoria Hotel on the night of the banquet to M. Marlin is supplied to us by our Shamoen correspondent. It is impossible to give all of the names of the guests owing to the hotel fist having been destroyed during the confusion which followed the outrage. It will bo observed that His Excellency the Governor General (M. Morlin) had a miraculous oscape, two of the guests seated immediately apposite him being badly injured, Father Thomas, who realised, that the missle was a bomb, undoubtedly saved. Mrs. Loblane and himself from injury by dragging that lady away from the table. Mons. P. Loynaud also probably owes his life to his plucky action in immediate- ly giving chase to the assassin. It is generally-believed-in-French-airales-that-on-account-of-bris-gray- hair and facial resemblance. Mons. Rougeau was mistaken by the assassin for the Governor- General.
