In the House of Commons in the course of a debate initiated by Sir Edward Grigg who, denounced the omission of the late government in not inviting the Dominions to send separate plenipo- tentairies to Lausanne, with the result that the Lausanne Treaty was the only peace treaty not signed by the whole Empire, Premier Maë- donald said that in regard to procedure in the future the governmen stood by the resolutions of the Inst Imperial Conference that the Dominions Interested should be informed before treaty negotiations were opened, and where their interests were directly concerned they should be represented. As far as he was concorned, the resolution would always be put into operation. He opined that the time had come when we must consider what machinery was required to l created to conduct a united imperial palley, particularly in rezarl foreign affairs-Reuter.
