The Becker Steel Company of Willich, Rhineland, one of the biggest in Germany has been compelled to place its affults in the hands of the official receiver owing to difficulty in obtaining credit, a trouble from, which all Industrial undertakings in Germany are suffering. The works will continue in operation for the time boing. The Deutsche Werke Company, another big, concern, in also a, vic- tim of the lack of credit and has been compelled to retrench by closing some of its works. The scarcity of money is so pronounced, that afty per cent, interest is demanded for cash.-Reuter..

Melbourne, May 19.
Wing Commander Goble and Flying Officer Macintyre haye arrived in a seaplane escorted by a fleet of aeroplands. They were cheered by enormous crowds lining the beflagged foreshore as they alighted anfely in the suburb of St. Kilda, completing a round' Australia flight, the greatest In the history of Australian aviation. The distance was 8,500 miles and occupied ninety flying hours. The airmen left Melbourne on the 6th April. The airmen as they stepped on the pier were greeted by Federal and State Ministera and representatives of the Air Force of the navy and army subsc- quently attended the civic reception.-Reuter.
