The above picture shows the head of a fine specimen of what is believed to be the largest porcupine killed in China i woighed 36 pounds and the longest quills were 196 inches in length. This specimen was killed near the Soochow bills and the size) is quite extraordinary as the previous largest known have weighed from 28o30 lb.
