THE DOCK TROUBLE.

London, Feb, 21,

The dockers' enquiry has been adjourned sine dia.. The terms of settlement of the dock strike are: an increase of one shilling per day immediately: a further shilling on May 1st; and no victimisation-Reuter.

Latar.

The dockers' second shilling is payable June 1st, and not May 1st. A resumption of work is expected to-morrow.

The terms of settlement, which include the establishment of an enquiry into the question of decasualisation, must first be approyed by the conference of dockers delegates convened to-night but this is regarded as certain.

The situation is complicated by the fact that the Stevedores Unions' independent claim for 2/5 a day increase has not yet been considered by the employers: yet a resumption is not fully effective until the stevedores also return.--Reuter.
