The repair ship Prometheus has arrived here with the bodies of Captain Sparrow and one of the radio operators on the cruiser Tacoma who perished in a storm after the loss of the Tacoma re cently. The bodies of two other operators have not been recovered.

It appears that after the Tacoma was piled up on a reef, Capt.. Sparrow went with the operators to the wireless cabin and went of the "S. O. S." When the cabin began to break up under the pound- Ing of the waves the men still stack to their work until standing shoulder high in water. Becoming exhausted, they made a last desperate effort to get below and join the remainder of the ship's company, but were suddenly caught by a giant comber and swept

overboard.
